New Partnership With Taylor Hobson in the Field of Roundness Measurement
In future, roundness measurements will be carried out on a Taylor Hobson Talyrond 585H in the measuring room of the new MAS Campus.
“This will allow us to map the entire process chain in-house in the future in order to thoroughly test new developments in the field of hard turning,” says Thomas Mörk, Technical Manager at MAS. The measuring device from Taylor Hobson also offers completely new perspectives in the area of customer-specific sampling or test series. Taylor Hobson was chosen after a lengthy selection process. Various components with specific characteristics were tested by several well-known manufacturers of roundness measuring devices. Ultimately, the Talyrond 585H from Taylor Hobson was chosen as it offered the best overall package. “We are very much looking forward to working with MAS, which we see as a partnership with mutual synergies,” says Sven Frank, Business Unit Manager of Ametek GmbH's Taylor Hobson Germany division. The Talyrond 585H is the latest generation of high-precision roundness measuring instruments from Taylor Hobson.
