NCB100 - Focus On Medical Technology, Aviation and Aerospace

The innovative NCB100 grade is now available for difficult-to-machine materials in medical technology, such as cobalt-chrome and exotic titanium alloys, as well as for tough, heat-resistant, nickel-based alloys in the aerospace industry.

This world's first binderless nano CBN has a unique thermal conductivity. The high proportion of CBN grains makes it very hard, yet sufficiently tough and fracture-resistant.

NCB100 is therefore ideal for finishing difficult contours on workpieces made from exotic titanium and cobalt alloys to the best surface quality at a cutting depth of 0.05 to 0.3 mm at a cutting speed of 50 to 300 m/min.

The new CBN grade NCB100 impresses with its long tool life and high process reliability. The CBN cutting material NCB100 achieves up to twice the tool life and up to four times the productivity of conventional carbide tools when machining high-strength cobalt-chrome alloys.
